Rachael Okonkwo, the Nigerian actress, is engaged to businessman Chukwudi Onuorah.
In a now-viral video, the 39-year-old actress, dressed in a
black gown, is seen flaunting her engagement ring while holding a bouquet of
red roses.
She was seated in a room that appeared to be the proposal
venue, with flower petals scattered around. She was also heard referring to
Onuorah as “my billionaire baby”.
Checks also showed that Okonkwo has added the businessman’s
name to her Instagram bio, which now reads, “Rachael Okonkwo Chukwudi Onuorah”.

Onuorah, reportedly from Enugu state, is said to be a widower with five children and has a child with his baby mama.
In March, Okonkwo said she wanted to prioritise building
herself and her life before seeking a partner. She also said she hoped to be
with a man who was equally established after her colleague, Zubby Michael,
spoke about owning properties and cars while unmarried.
“The idea is to be purposeful before partnership. Where I’m
coming from is very dark, so I’m not looking for a poverty-alleviation
relationship. I want to find myself and be with a man who has also found
himself,” she had said.
“If being poor is a yardstick for finding a good husband,
why didn’t I get married when I was hustling, when I was roasting corn?”
Okonkwo began acting as a child but later switched to
dancing due to a lack of movie roles. She eventually returned to Nollywood and
gained her breakthrough in 2014 after playing the lead character Nkoli in
‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka’.
