Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to join forces with Peter Obi and remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power ahead of the 2027 elections.
Fayose made the appeal in a video posted on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, shortly after a Federal High Court in Abuja delivered a ruling on the leadership crisis in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Justice Peter Lifu nullified the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC and voided the process that produced Atiku as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. In the video, Fayose advised Atiku to carefully examine the judgment. “Atiku should go and study that judgment very well; he will notice something fishy,” he said.
He added that Nigeria’s judiciary is no longer independent and criticized youths for focusing more on online controversies.Fayose then urged Atiku to align with Obi under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Please, Atiku, this is the time to join forces with Peter Obi in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, to pursue the All Progressives Congress, APC, out of power,” he stated.
