President Bola Tinubu on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at the Iga Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.
The visit gave the President the opportunity to receive royal prayers and counsel from the traditional ruler for his administration and the country.
Tinubu was welcomed at the palace by members of the royal household and residents who gathered to catch a glimpse of him.
Supporters, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other well-wishers lined the streets around Marina and Isale Eko as his convoy approached, creating a festive atmosphere on Lagos Island.
During the visit, Oba Akiolu offered prayers for Tinubu, his administration and Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, peace and prosperity for the nation.
The monarch also counselled the President on issues affecting the country and the welfare of Nigerians.
The engagement highlighted the continued interaction between the traditional institution and the Federal Government on matters of national development and the well-being of citizens.
