President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to act quickly to track down and arrest those responsible for the murder of prominent Islamic preacher Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka and his friend Adamu Abubakar in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State.
The President condemned the attack as a heinous crime and an assault on the values of peace and the sanctity of human life. Gunmen killed the two men in a drive-by shooting on Monday evening.In a statement, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu was deeply saddened by the killings.
He directed the police and relevant agencies to intensify the efforts already underway by the Katsina State Police Command, ensure the perpetrators are apprehended, and bring them to justice.Tinubu also extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, their followers, and the government and people of Katsina State. He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for comfort for all those mourning their deaths.
