Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently presiding over a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya is among those attending in person, while most other participants are joining virtually.
The NEC, which the Vice President chairs, includes Nigeria’s 36 state governors, the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, and other senior officials.
The body advises the President on economic matters and helps coordinate national economic planning.Further details are expected later.
