Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been named a patron of the 335-member campaign council unveiled by Accord Party House of Representatives candidate, Pelumi Olajengbesi, ahead of the January 2027 election in the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
Olajengbesi, a lawyer and former spokesperson for Adeleke’s 2026 governorship campaign, announced the council’s formation on Wednesday via his Facebook page.
He said the team brings together political stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, women, youths, students, and grassroots mobilisers across the constituency.
Other patrons include Kazeem Akinleye and Dele Faseru. The council will be chaired by Osun State Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Adejorin, with Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe, as deputy chairman.
Adesoji Baderin was named Director-General, while Ladesuyi Tope and Sola Adeyekun will serve as deputy directors-general for Obokun and Oriade respectively.
The campaign council is structured into 20 committees covering political strategy, grassroots mobilisation, ward coordination, youth and women affairs, media, digital communication, research, legal compliance, election monitoring, finance, logistics, security, professional engagement, students, religious groups, party affairs, and diaspora outreach.
Among the committee heads are Ayodeji Areola (Elders and Stakeholder Engagement), Adekusibe Okeowo (Strategy and Political Planning), Yemisi Itiola (Mobilisation and Field Operations), Soji Bejide (Ward Coordination), Osundokun Osundare (Youth Mobilisation), Roseline Adeyemi (Women Mobilisation), Tope Abiola (Media and Publicity), and Niyi Odinna (Digital and New Media).
Olajengbesi is seeking to unseat incumbent Wole Oke, who has represented the constituency in the House of Representatives for over two decades.
The newly constituted council is expected to drive campaign activities, political engagement, and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 polls.
