Lamido Vows PDP Will Rescue Jigawa from APC’s Failures in 2027

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has pledged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim Jigawa State from what he described as the failures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration of the PDP Campaign Council in Dutse, Lamido accused the APC-led administration of dragging the state backwards, particularly in healthcare, education, and other vital sectors.

“Unfortunately, Jigawa State has been taken backwards under the present administration. We are determined to restore the state to its rightful position in governance, development, unity and peaceful coexistence,” he said.

Lamido expressed concern over residents’ struggles to access basic healthcare and quality education, noting that hospitals lack adequate services and schools continue to deteriorate.

He assured that the PDP has experienced and competent leaders capable of delivering transparent, accountable, and people-oriented governance.

“The APC administration has failed the people of Jigawa State. Our administration will prioritise the welfare of all residents, regardless of political affiliation,” Lamido stated.

The former governor also promised that PDP campaigns would be conducted peacefully, with respect and unity, avoiding intimidation or personal attacks.

“Our campaigns will be conducted peacefully, with respect, unity and mutual understanding. Our primary objective is to restore the dignity of Nigeria and Jigawa State,” he added.
