Kwankwasiyya Movement: ADC, Atiku Lack Clear Agenda for Nigerians

The Kwankwasiyya movement has criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, accusing them of failing to present a clear vision for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on Daily Trust TV’s Day Break programme, Kwankwasiyya spokesperson Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed alleged that the ADC was relying heavily on the political influence of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Peter Obi to advance Atiku’s presidential ambition, rather than offering concrete solutions to the electorate.

Mohammed said ADC and Atiku had not articulated what they intended to deliver to Nigerians.

He claimed ADC believed aligning with Kwankwaso and Obi would automatically boost Atiku’s chances, regardless of merit.

Mohammed accused ADC of spreading the narrative that Kwankwaso was working for President Bola Tinubu, describing it as political manipulation.

He faulted ADC for suggesting its failure would be due to Kwankwaso and Obi’s refusal to join forces with them.

Mohammed emphasized that Kwankwaso and Obi had agreed to work together as partners, not out of convenience, and had left ADC earlier due to lack of a level playing field.

Democracy First, Mohammed stressed that the survival of democracy was more important than political calculations, insisting that Nigerians deserved genuine alternatives rather than being forced to choose between “the evil and the lesser evil.”

He concluded that ADC’s strategy was misguided, arguing that Kwankwaso’s straightforward approach exposed the party’s alleged deception and reliance on external figures.
