Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the Rivers State Government to strengthen law and order across the state.
Disu gave the assurance on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to Governor Siminalayi Fubara at Government House, Port Harcourt.
The visit was described by the Police Force as an opportunity to reinforce institutional ties and enhance coordination between security agencies and government authorities.
The engagement also marked a homecoming for Disu, who served as Rivers State Commissioner of Police in 2024.
According to a statement posted by the NPF on X, the meeting provided a platform to consolidate existing partnerships aimed at safeguarding lives and property, maintaining public order, and promoting peaceful coexistence.
Disu emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation among security agencies, government institutions, and stakeholders in tackling security challenges and ensuring public safety.
