The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 25 vehicles to boost grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at securing the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The vehicles were unveiled on Thursday during the inauguration of the Ekiti State chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Ado Ekiti. Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, Tompolo said the donation was intended to strengthen voter outreach and campaign activities across communities in the state.
According to him, the vehicles will support door-to-door engagement at polling units, wards, local government areas, constituencies and religious centres, helping campaigners take the President’s message directly to the people.
Tompolo praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, particularly the removal of petrol subsidy, arguing that the measures had improved government finances and enabled state administrations to meet obligations such as salary payments, pensions and infrastructure development.
He said the movement was committed to mobilising support for Tinubu across the country to ensure the continuation of the administration’s reform agenda. He also urged members of the movement to make effective use of the vehicles and other campaign materials provided for the assignment.
Speaking at the event, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji expressed confidence that President Tinubu would enjoy substantial support from voters in the state during the 2027 election.
The governor challenged political stakeholders to work towards delivering at least 80 per cent of the votes cast in Ekiti for the President, stressing that the issue was not whether Tinubu would win the state but the margin of victory.
Oyebanji attributed many of his administration’s achievements to support from the Federal Government, noting that collaboration with the Tinubu administration had contributed significantly to the execution of projects and programmes across the state.
He recalled that the All Progressives Congress secured more than 85 per cent of the votes in Ekiti during the previous election and expressed optimism that the party would record another strong performance in 2027.
The governor also warned against voter apathy, urging party members and campaign workers to focus on mobilising eligible voters, particularly those with Permanent Voter Cards who failed to participate in past elections.
He commended Tompolo for supporting the campaign through the donation of vehicles, describing the gesture as an important contribution to the party’s grassroots mobilisation efforts.
Also speaking, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye, praised Tompolo for expanding the campaign movement across different parts of the country. He maintained that continued support for President Tinubu would help sustain development efforts in Ekiti and enable the state government to build on its achievements.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, called on residents to actively participate in the electoral process and support the President’s re-election bid.
The inauguration marks a new phase in mobilisation efforts by supporters of President Tinubu as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
