The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Downstream and Leader of the Northern Caucus in the Green Chamber, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has declared that Northern Nigeria has a moral political obligation to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and the victory of other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in 2027.
Doguwa made the remarks in a personally signed statement issued after receiving a courtesy visit from APC members, area supervisors and council advisers from his Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency at his residence in Kaduna.
He described the visit as part of strategic preparations for the forthcoming general elections.“Working for President Tinubu’s re-election is a moral political obligation on the people of Northern Nigeria,” he said.
“We must rise individually and collectively to unconditionally vote for Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term for the continuous peaceful coexistence of our great country, Nigeria.”
The lawmaker expressed optimism that Tinubu would secure substantial support from the North, describing regional votes as crucial to the President’s re-election prospects.
He maintained that the solidarity he receives daily shows the North remains firmly behind Tinubu and other APC candidates, dismissing contrary narratives as propaganda.
