Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, will present his manifesto on Friday, October 30.
Hamzat, who is running with deputy governorship candidate Damilola Sonayon-James, shared details of his priorities in a statement on his X account on Tuesday ahead of the launch.
He said his focus would be on sustaining Lagos State’s progress, addressing areas that need greater attention, and creating more opportunities for residents.Among the key priorities he listed are completing and connecting rail lines, improving road and water transportation, expanding access to affordable housing, strengthening security, and upgrading healthcare services across the state’s 57 local government areas and local council development areas.
Hamzat also emphasised education, skills development, and job creation, stressing the need to equip young people with knowledge, technology, and practical skills. He pledged to support entrepreneurs and small businesses, noting that opportunities should be available to all residents regardless of background, gender, religion, or place of origin.
“Together, we will build on our progress and move Lagos forward with purpose, accountability and the people at the centre of every decision. That is my PROMISE,” he stated.
The manifesto presentation is scheduled to take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (formerly the National Arts Theatre) in Iganmu, Lagos, from 3pm to 5pm.
