A coalition of federal agency heads has been launched to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, pledging to mobilise at least 10 million votes nationwide.
Operating as the Forum of Chief Executives of Federal Parastatals, the group unveiled its plan during a meeting with APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party’s National Working Committee.
Forum Chairman, Dr Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation, said the coalition would complement the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) by focusing on grassroots mobilisation, campaign messaging, election monitoring and technical support.
“We are here not merely as Chief Executives occupying strategic positions, but as professionals, public-sector leaders and Nigerians committed to the progress and prosperity of our nation,” Raji stated.
Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, head of the forum’s Media and Publicity Committee, explained that the coalition’s role was to communicate government achievements and ensure citizens understood the administration’s record.
“The communication apparatus for an election cannot be left to the PCC alone. Our structure is complementary, not competitive,” Ajiboye said, adding that the 2027 campaign would emphasise “what we have done” rather than promises.
APC Chairman Yilwatda welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and stressing the importance of grassroots engagement in securing electoral success.
The forum appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, as its patron, and pledged to run “lawful, ethical, peaceful and issue-based campaigns” while providing channels for citizen feedback.
