Nigerian music star Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has surprised lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi with three brand-new Sienna space buses to support his bid for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in 2027.
The vehicles were presented in Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday. Olajengbesi revealed the donation in a Facebook post on Friday, describing it as an unexpected but significant show of support from the Afrobeats icon.
According to him, D’Banj had reached out two weeks earlier requesting contact details for his campaign branding team.
Believing it was for the singer’s CREAM project, Olajengbesi shared the information, only to later receive the fully branded buses.
“It’s my token of support,” D’Banj reportedly told him after the delivery.
The gesture adds to mounting public endorsements of Olajengbesi’s political ambition.
Afrobeats star Davido had earlier declared support for his campaign.Olajengbesi, who turned 40 in August, previously contested the Oriade/Obokun seat in 2019.
He also served as spokesman for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s successful re-election campaign in August 2026 and is convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State.
