Activist Aisha Yesufu has joined the “Osun Script” social media campaign and urged supporters of Peter Obi to adopt it ahead of the 2027 elections.
In an X post on Saturday, Yesufu shared a personalised poster generated through an online link that allows participants to declare their commitment to protecting their votes.
Identifying herself as being from the Federal Capital Territory, she pledged to vote for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on January 16, 2027.
“I am Aisha Yesufu from FCT. I will vote NDC on 16 January 2027 and play the Osun Script to protect my vote: vote, stay, count, snap the result sheet,” she wrote.
Yesufu encouraged more Nigerians to take part, stressing that the 2027 elections must be approached differently from those of 2023.“2027 is not 2023. Learn the Osun Script and make your own pledge,” she added.
She also called on supporters to mobilise for former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, using the hashtags #YouRigWeOsunYou and #VoteNDC.
The “Osun Script” takes its name from the 2026 Osun State governorship election, in which incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
Adeleke scored 511,067 votes to Oyebamiji’s 444,815, winning by 66,252 votes. INEC declared Adeleke the winner on August 16, 2026.
The campaign’s core message, “vote, stay, count, snap the result sheet” encourages voters to cast their ballots, remain at polling units to observe counting, and photograph result sheets where permitted.
