VIDEO: Soldier Confronts Policeman Over Alleged Extortion at Road Checkpoint

A tense confrontation unfolded on a Nigerian road when a soldier physically challenged police officers allegedly collecting money from motorists at a checkpoint.

In a video circulating online, the soldier is seen approaching the officers and demanding an explanation. “Why are you collecting money on the road?” he asks one of the policemen.

The military personnel then chases the officer toward a parked police van. The policeman can be heard apologising, while his colleagues plead with the soldier to let the matter go.

The identities of those involved had not been confirmed at the time of the report.
