Donald Ojogo, the member representing Ilaje/Ese Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives, has distributed 4,500 bags of rice to his constituents as part of a relief initiative.
Ojogo explained that the intervention, facilitated through the National Productivity Centre in Abuja, was aimed at easing hardship among households in Ilaje and Ese Odo Local Government Areas.
The distribution took place at Teachers Hall, Okoga, Igbokoda, with beneficiaries drawn from across the two LGAs.
“This intervention is part of my efforts to ensure that opportunities available through federal institutions are translated into tangible benefits for the people,” Ojogo stated.
Beyond the food relief, the lawmaker called on his constituents to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration and support his re-election bid in 2027.
“The re-election of President Bola Tinubu is paramount to us in Ondo State. I want to call on our people to support the president’s re-election in 2027 for us to continue enjoying the good things he is doing for us in Ondo State and Nigeria in general,” he said.
Former House of Representatives member Kolade Akinjo, who chaired the event, commended Ojogo’s gesture, describing it as a demonstration of concern for the welfare of constituents.
Community stakeholders and beneficiaries present at the distribution also expressed appreciation for the initiative.
