Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central, has boldly declared that no one can defeat Rabiu Kwankwaso in Kano State in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Umeh expressed strong confidence in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate’s grip on the state.
“No matter the noise they make in Kano, nobody can beat Kwankwaso there once the election is credible, transparent, free, and fair. I can bet it,” Umeh said.
The senator, who is working closely with Kwankwaso and other NDC leaders, said the party is well prepared for the general elections with credible candidates.
He pointed to the recent outing of the party’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, in Port Harcourt as evidence of growing support.
“Look at what our Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, did in Port Harcourt in just first outing. Port Harcourt was shut down,” Umeh noted.
He added that the large crowds that followed NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi and other party figures reflect genuine public motivation.
“Those people following them in Port Harcourt last week are Nigerians that will vote. Why were they following our presidential candidate, Peter Obi like Jesus was crossing, and people were marching around him? Something must be motivating and driving the people, the voting population,” he said.
