Israeli parliament writes UN over Nnamdi Kanu, accuses Britain of ‘hypocrisy’

A member of the Israeli Knesset, Heidi Moses, has accused Britain of hypocrisy over its support for the Nigerian government against the struggle for the actualisation of Biafra.

It would be recalled that Britain recently criticized Israel for building permanent structures in Jerusalem.

British Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, had condemned Israel’s decision to advance the E1 settlement project east of Jerusalem, describing the move as an “unacceptable and destructive act” that risks severing the West Bank from East Jerusalem and ending hopes for a two-state solution.

The development has since strained relationship between Britain and Israel.

Moses, who said she represents Biafra in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, accused the British of hypocrisy.

Moses said Britain is responsible for the subjugation of ‘Biafrans’ in Nigeria.

She said, “I want to talk about the hypocrisy of Britain. I represent Biafra at the Knesset. Biafra is under the horror control of Nigeria. I am talking about a population of 50 to 70 million that lives under the horrible control of the Nigerian government. Some of them are jews and some are Christians. Our most important Rabbis in Israel recognized them as the ancestors of Gad. They are passing daily horrible murder and destruction of life in most shocking and unbelievable ways. Who gave this mandate to the Nigerians? – The British government!”

Moses disclosed that she facilitated the recent visit of an IPOB delegation to the Israeli parliament.

According to her, the Knesset wants to assist in the struggle for Biafra.

Moses added that the Knesset sent a letter to the United Nations concerning what she described as the arbitrary detention of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

“I brought the Biafra delegation to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament and they were welcomed very warmly. Our parliament members and deputy speakers of the Knesset were happy to welcome the delegation. Mrs Limor Son Har Meleck, Mr Nisim Vaturi, our deputy speakers of the Knesset, Mr Afif Abed, the representative of minorities and others were very happy to meet them. They want so much to help in this Biafra issue. They also sent letters to the UN concerning the arbitrary detention of the leader of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He was kidnapped and jailed only because of his views, only because he wants to free his people,” she added.

Moses noted that although President Donald Trump said that the United States military “will enter into Nigeria with arms to stop this evil, but so far there is silence”.

She declared, “We must break this silence and tell the world who the British are. We have to show what is happening in Biafra and in every place in the world where the British are acting behind closed doors.”
