VIDEO: Ogogo diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, family says ‘hospital can’t treat him further’

The family of Taiwo Hassan, the Nollywood actor better known as ‘Ogogo’, says he has been diagnosed with stage four cancer.

In a video shared on social media by Kira, Ogogo’s daughter, the family is seeking the public’s support to treat the ailing actor.

The family said the condition was discovered about three weeks ago and affected the actor’s abdomen.

Kira revealed that some medical institutions said they can no longer conduct chemotherapy on him.

The daughter pleaded with the public to help recommend other means of treatment for her father.

“I am here for my daddy. He has cancer, and it is stage 4. The hospital is saying that they cannot treat him again—they can not give him chemo anymore. I am not here to beg for money,” Kira said in an Instagram post.

“I really want to appreciate Senator Yayi [Solomon Adeola]. He has been the one helping us, footing the bills. And still, what I am here for is to ask if you can treat my daddy, if you can start chemo for him, whether it is medical or herbs.”

Lima, another daughter of Ogogo, said Solomon Adeola, the senator representing Ogun West, has promised to continue supporting the family financially.

“I am begging you—any help, anything, anybody. If you know someone who knows someone willing to try anything to treat him, please let me know. Nobody is here to ask for money. He did not worry. My big uncle has helped; he has been of great help,” Lima said.

“Nobody even knew he would show up for us this way. But if he is willing to do anything, if you know somebody that knows somebody willing to treat him, I would appreciate it. I cannot watch my daddy die.”

Responding to a comment by socialite Yhemo Lee, Lima said Ogogo is not fit to be flown abroad for treatment.
