President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun as Director of Fundraising for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointment forms part of the full list of campaign council members released by the Presidency on Saturday.
President Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda serving as Vice Chairmen.
Former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari has been named Director-General.
Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma is Secretary, while APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively.
As Director of Fundraising, Governor Abiodun will coordinate the mobilisation of financial resources and support for the APC presidential campaign.
The council includes a body of advisers comprising former Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, former APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni have been appointed Deputy Directors-General for the South and North, alongside Senator Bamidele Opeyemi and Senator Jibril Barau.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole will serve as Deputy Director-General in charge of Mobilisation, while the President’s Chief of Staff will oversee Administration.
James Abiodun Faleke returns as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, working with zonal directors across the six geopolitical zones.Muiz Adeyemi Banire will head the Legal Directorate.
The Media and Strategic Communication Directorate will be coordinated by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, together with Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu.
Segun Dada has been appointed Director of New Media, the same role he held in the previous campaign cycle.
Five spokespersons, led by Dele Alake, have also been named.President Tinubu charged members of the council to work tirelessly to secure victory for the APC in 2027.
He urged directors to reach out to other party members not formally listed so they could contribute to the effort.
According to the President, the APC-led Federal Government has delivered on its campaign promises and placed Nigeria on the path of economic progress.
He called on the council to effectively communicate the administration’s achievements and inspire confidence among Nigerians.
