Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red, has expressed confidence that the country would undergo major changes if his father, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, were to become President.
The remark, made during a 2023 interview on the Echoroom podcast, resurfaced on social media shortly after Adeleke secured a second term as governor on August 15, 2026, under the Accord Party. He defeated APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji with 511,067 votes to 444,815.
In the interview, B-Red admitted he would prefer his father not to pursue the presidency due to the stress it could bring to the family.
However, he emphasized Adeleke’s kind-hearted nature and commitment to serving Nigerians.“But I know my dad, he has such a good heart, but if he does become the president, this country go change oh,” he said.
B-Red added that Adeleke would focus on improving the lives of citizens rather than using public office for personal gain. “We’re not coming here to steal money, bro. I’m coming here to help people, you understand?” he said.
