The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has rated President Bola Tinubu’s administration a failure, declaring that the government has scored an “F9” in its three years in office.
Speaking during a live interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief on Tuesday, Sowore argued that Tinubu should apologise daily to Nigerians for occupying an office he is “not qualified for.”
“I rate the government from a number of parameters, and one of them is security, which has failed. Talking about the power sector, the national grid has collapsed more than anything else in this country in the last three years,” he said.
Sowore listed education, healthcare, food security, and the economy as areas where the administration has performed poorly. He noted that students are now required to borrow to fund their education, while even the president does not patronise Nigerian hospitals.
On food security, he pointed out that Nigeria has been classified by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as one of the countries requiring food aid in 2026.
He also criticised the economic record of the government, claiming that the number of Nigerians living in multidimensional poverty has doubled from 70 million to 140 million in the past three years.
“So you tell me, if you look at all these parameters, you would see that the president has an F9 in the last three years of his administration,” Sowore concluded.
