Oladipupo Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2027 election, has described Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election in Osun as proof that Nigerians no longer trust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, Adebutu praised Adeleke’s victory as a validation of the people’s will and a reward for governance that prioritizes the masses.
He noted that Adeleke’s performance in Osun reflects what Nigerians truly desire from their leaders empathy, accountability, and good governance.
Quoting his statement, Adebutu said: “I heartily congratulate my brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for proving that when the people stand firmly behind a leader, no force can subvert their will.
Adeleke’s strides in Osun are a beacon of hope and a clear indicator that the will of the people will always triumph over political deceit.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, had earlier declared Adeleke winner of the poll, after he secured 51,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, who polled 444,815 votes.
