Arise Television anchor, Oseni Rufai, has criticised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over their role in the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.
Speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show, Rufai accused Wike of attempting to “gaslight” Nigerians about the outcome of the poll, insisting that the much-vaunted federal influence did not secure victory for the APC.
His remarks come amid ongoing political reactions to the election, which saw Governor Ademola Adeleke secure a second term despite heavy campaigning by APC leaders.
Rufai’s comments underscore growing debate about the limits of federal power in state elections and the resilience of opposition parties in the face of political intimidation.
