The spokesman of the City Boys Movement, Bashir Ahmad, has again mocked Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, ahead of the governorship election in Osun State.
In a post on his verified X handle, Ahmad asked the singer to wait for US President Donald Trump to deploy troops to help his uncle win the election.
The remark came in response to a post by Davido in which the singer declared, “We go all crase together! Dem think say them get crase they will meet their match this weekend!”
Ahmad replied: “Will you not wait for President Trump to send troops and help your Uncle win the election? ”The exchange continues a running social media feud between the two.
Davido, a nephew of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke (the Accord Party candidate seeking re-election), has been actively campaigning for his uncle and had earlier appealed to Trump and the international community to monitor the August 15 poll amid concerns over possible violence and intimidation.
Ahmad, a former presidential media aide and APC chieftain, has repeatedly criticised Davido’s interventions in the Osun race, previously describing some of the singer’s comments as “cheap blackmail” and predicting that Davido would lament if the results did not favour his uncle.
