Osun: Adeleke Now With Oppressors After Death of 29 Supporters – Isaac Fayose

Nigerian businessman Prince Isaac Fayose has condemned Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke for engaging with leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite allegations that 29 of his supporters were killed during the recent governorship election.

Ahead of the August 15 poll, Adeleke, who contested under the Accord Party, accused suspected APC thugs of attacking and killing his supporters.

The APC countered, alleging that Adeleke’s camp was responsible for the deaths of over 20 of its members.Despite the controversy, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke winner of the election.

Shortly after, he met with APC stakeholders, including President Bola Tinubu, sparking outrage among some of his supporters.

Reacting via Facebook, Fayose criticised Adeleke’s political moves:“29 people died fighting for Adeleke, and the same Adeleke is now with the oppressors. What a country!”

He also raised concerns about the huge sums allegedly spent on the election, citing claims that APC invested ₦60 billion while Accord Party spent ₦40 billion.

Fayose argued that such funds, if distributed among citizens, could have transformed lives instead of fueling political battles.

The development has left many supporters questioning Adeleke’s motives and expressing regret over their backing of his candidacy.
