Neche, a housemate on the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Show Ya Sef’ season, has taken a voluntary exit from the reality show, leaving fellow contestants and fans stunned.
The reality star, who was the head of house (HoH) for the
week, gathered the rest of the housemates to the lounge shortly after Sunday’s
live eviction show to announce her decision.
While she did not provide a specific reason for her
departure, she proceeded to remove her microphone and name tag before heading
to the diary room to formally exit the season 11 house.
The announcement drew emotional reactions from the remaining
housemates.
Viewers also expressed shock, with some speculating that the
move could be a prank orchestrated by the show’s producers.
The 2026 season premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates.
Martins and Mercedes became the first BBNaija ‘Show Ya Sef’
housemates to be evicted from the reality show on August 9.
Kamsy was evicted on Sunday, making her the third housemate
to leave the reality show.
Flora and Aikou were voted as ‘The Gambits’ of the season,
meaning they have been granted a place in the finale – however, the remaining
housemates are unaware.
This year’s winner stands to claim a record-breaking grand
prize of N160 million, the largest payout in the reality show’s history since
its debut in 2006.
