Kwankwaso Praises Catholic Bishops, Criticizes Tinubu Government

Rabi’u Kwankwaso, vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has openly supported the Catholic Bishops following their recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.

In a statement shared on his verified X account, the former Kano State governor commended the Bishops for what he described as “courage and patriotism” in highlighting Nigeria’s pressing challenges.

He rejected claims that their concerns were politically motivated, stressing that issues such as rising living costs, insecurity, unemployment, and poor access to education and healthcare reflect the daily struggles of ordinary Nigerians nationwide.

Kwankwaso lamented that despite Nigeria’s abundant human and natural resources, millions continue to face hardship and diminishing opportunities.

He urged leaders to adopt urgent, sincere, and people-focused solutions.Calling for constructive engagement with the Federal Government, he emphasized the need for accountability, good governance, and policies that prioritize citizens’ welfare and security.

“I commend the Catholic Bishops for their courage and patriotism. It is through such collective commitment and responsible leadership that we can build a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria. May Almighty Allah continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Kwankwaso wrote.
