Activist Aisha Yesufu has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) technology cannot be relied upon, calling on Nigerians to treat the entire electoral process as fully manual and analogue while closely tracking the counting and movement of result sheets at every stage.
In a statement shared on X, Yesufu urged citizens to remain vigilant from the polling units all the way to the final collation in Abuja.
“The technology of INEC cannot be trusted! We will consider everything manual and analogue,” she said.She stressed the need for voters to carefully observe the counting of votes and the recording of results at polling units on election day.
“We must watch eagle eyed the counting of our votes on the Election Day. Watch like hawks as they write the results,” Yesufu stated.Yesufu further called for continuous monitoring of result sheets as they move from polling units to ward, local government and state collation centres, and ultimately to Abuja.
“Follow our result sheets from polling unit to ward, LG, State collation centres and finally to Abuja,” she said.She insisted that neither electoral officials nor result sheets should ever leave the public’s sight throughout the process.
“In all of these no single official or result sheets must be out of our sights. From the creeks to the deserts we will follow,” Yesufu added.The activist said the goal is to ensure the final figures announced match the actual votes cast by the people.
“At the end we will all gather in Abuja and ensure that what the people voted is what is announced,” she concluded.
