Nigerian businessman and social commentator, Prince Isaac Fayose, has expressed disappointment over the decision of opposition politicians he supported to realign with leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His remarks followed viral videos showing Afrobeat star Davido and his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, meeting President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock and later celebrating with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in Abuja.
Fayose, who said he offered support to Adeleke during the Osun governorship election, lamented that those he fought for are now “romancing with APC leaders.” He revealed that he was offered money and a G-Wagon but declined, insisting he stood by his principles.
“Davido that we were hailing during the election is now smiling with Wike. Meanwhile, they offered me money, and I declined. They offered me a G-Wagon, but I still declined. Now, even the people I’m fighting for, on election day, they will still sell their votes,” Fayose said.
He also criticised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate he supported in the Ekiti governorship election, Dr. Wole Oluyede, for later aligning with the APC.
Fayose’s comments highlight growing frustration among opposition supporters over shifting political alliances ahead of the 2027 elections.
