Phyna has alleged that Segun ‘Sheggz’ Olusemo physically assaulted Bella Okagbue while they were dating.
On Tuesday, Sheggz announced that his four-year relationship
with Bella ended in January 2026.
He cited “issues of trust and respect” as the reason for the
breakup, saying they were issues he “could not overlook when considering
marriage”.
In a post via Snapchat, Phyna accused Sheggz of trying to
control Bella’s friendships and physically abusing her, claiming he previously
told her to stop being close to her.
She also alleged that she once witnessed an incident of
physical abuse when she slept over at Bella’s house, claiming Bella appeared
beaten after going upstairs with Sheggz but initially denied anything happened.
Phyna claimed Bella later told her that Sheggz had beaten
her because she was present in the house.
“I can say I know almost 70% of what’s happening in their
relationship. Let’s talk about how Sheggz doesn’t want Bella to have friends.
He doesn’t like me; he never did,” she said.
“I remember a fateful day when I slept at Bella’s house, and
Sheggz came back around 5am. Bella followed him upstairs, and the next thing I
started hearing were noises. I went to bang on the door to ask what was
happening, but there was no response, so I went back downstairs.
“A few minutes later, Bella came down looking rough. Her
packed hair was already scattered, and she was cleaning her eyes. I asked if
Sheggz had beaten her, but she said no. However, I heard her shouting, ‘Sheggz,
you’ll kill me!’ earlier, but she said nothing happened. Then Sheggz came
downstairs and told me to talk to my friend and tell her to behave properly so
he could marry her.
“A few days ago, Bella was telling me that it was because I
was in her house that day that Sheggz beat her. There was a period when Bella
and I stopped talking, too. It was Sheggz who told her to stop being close to
me.”
She further claimed that Sheggz “never treated Bella
nicely”, adding that Bella would often cry after their dates because he spoke
to her disrespectfully in public.
Phyna also dismissed claims that Bella cheated on Sheggz.
“Honestly, I’m very disappointed in you, Sheggz. He never
treated Bella nicely. They would go on dates, and Bella would be crying
afterwards, saying Sheggz spoke to her disrespectfully in public.
“There is a screenshot alleging that Bella cheated on
Sheggz, and that’s a lie. She was also never desperate for marriage; she just
wanted to get married on time.”
