Adebimpe ‘Mo Bimpe’ Oyebade, the Nollywood actress, has recounted some of the difficult moments she experienced while waiting to have a child.
The actress, who married actor Lateef Adedimeji in December
2021, spoke about dealing with public criticism during her journey to
parenthood.
Last year, Adedimeji revealed that some online critics
mocked his wife over childbirth.
In May, the couple announced the arrival of their triplet
boys.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Bimpe shared a fun moment at
her colleague Iyabo Ojo’s grandchild’s birthday, recounting years of watching
others celebrate milestones she longed for and often feeling excluded from such
gatherings.
She revealed that she cried several times over her situation
but remained hopeful despite the difficult period.
“For years, I felt left out. I never got an invite to attend
events like naming ceremonies, birthdays and baby showers. I only watched from
afar. I remember crying so many times, but despite all of this, I didn’t give
up,” she said.
“Last year, I wasn’t a mum, but now I’m a mum of three boys.
For so many years, I got trolled, insulted and left out because I didn’t have a
child, but I kept working, smiling and believing.”
The actress further encouraged Trying To Conceive (TTC)
mothers not to lose hope, urging them to remain patient and hopeful and “let my
story be your faith”.
“…To every TTC mum watching and listening to me, please do
not give up. I want you to know that your time is coming. Let my story be your
faith. If God did it for me after years of waiting, He will do it for you too.
I’m praying for you. May He visit you soon and turn your waiting into a
testimony,” she added.
