Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has voiced support for Seyi Tinubu, saying the Nigerian businessman has the potential to one day lead the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Martins made the comments while appearing on the Mikel Obi podcast. He described Tinubu as young and someone who understands the expectations of Nigerians.
Although Tinubu does not currently hold the NFF presidency, Martins believes the businessman is already taking steps that could prepare him for a leadership role in Nigerian football.“I think Seyi Tinubu can be the president of NFF.
He’s young and understands what Nigerians want. He’s not the president yet, but he’s making efforts,” Martins said.
The remarks by the former Inter Milan forward come against the backdrop of continuing debates about leadership and the future path of Nigerian football.
