Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has alleged that three former officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) betrayed the party by aligning with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an interview on the KAA Truths podcast, Melaye claimed that former acting PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum, former National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and former Organising Secretary Umar Bature “sold out” the party.
According to him, their actions weakened the PDP before the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, “finally organised the burial of the party.”
“Damagun, Anyanwu and Bature sold out the PDP to the president before Wike finally organised the burial of the party,” Melaye said.
The PDP has been grappling with internal divisions in recent years, raising questions about its strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.
