The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that corruption is flourishing under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the menace as enjoying “great freedom” in the current government.
ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made the claim while unveiling the party’s Orange Book, its Governance Principles and Code of Ethics.
He explained that the party deliberately labeled corruption as economic banditry to highlight its destructive impact on Nigeria’s economy and society.
“Corruption can be as damaging to the country as violent crime. In our view, while banditry is a violent act, corruption is its economic equivalent,” Abdullahi said.
ADC’s Key AllegationsCorruption-friendly appointments: The party accused the administration of shielding individuals facing corruption charges and appointing them into positions of power.
ADC claimed Tinubu’s campaign structure reflected tolerance for corruption.
Abdullahi pledged that if elected, ADC would prioritize anti-corruption reforms as a central pillar of governance.
The party urged Nigerians to support its efforts to challenge the Tinubu administration, insisting that tackling corruption is essential to restoring accountability and economic stability.
