The National Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has described President Bola Tinubu as the worst leader in Nigeria’s history, warning that the North would be “finished” if he secures re-election in 2027.
Speaking in an interview on Symfoni TV, Baba-Ahmed criticized Tinubu’s leadership style, alleging a growing disconnect between the government and the people.
He condemned the President’s response to concerns raised by Catholic Bishops during a meeting at the Presidential Villa, accusing Tinubu of dismissing their warnings about hunger, insecurity, and widespread discontent.
According to Baba-Ahmed: “The North will be finished if Tinubu wins in 2027. He’s the worst President ever in the history of Nigeria. The problem is the disconnect between the government and the people.”
He argued that Tinubu’s refusal to acknowledge the bishops’ concerns despite “clear evidence” reflects poor governance and a lack of empathy for citizens’ struggles.
Baba-Ahmed concluded that Nigeria needs leadership that listens to the people rather than denying their lived realities.
