The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced a performance-based incentive for the Super Falcons ahead of their title defence at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), offering $5,000 for every goal scored during the group stage.
NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko made the announcement on Tuesday during a visit to the team’s camp at the Marriott Hotel in Rabat.
The bonus is designed to motivate the defending champions as they begin their campaign.Dikko noted that the goal incentive will increase as the team advances in the tournament.
The Super Falcons, led by coach Justine Madugu, open their title defence against debutants Malawi (the Scorchers) on Tuesday night at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
It marks the first-ever senior international meeting between the two sides.The announcement comes shortly after the Super Falcons received presidential rewards including houses and cash bonuses for their triumph in the previous edition of the competition.
