Ondo Senator Urges APC Members to Unite Ahead of 2027 Elections

Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, has appealed to aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to accept the outcome of the party’s recent primaries and embrace reconciliation.

The primaries have sparked protests in Akure, with some members alleging that the National Working Committee’s list of National Assembly candidates did not reflect the actual results.

In a statement on Sunday, Ipinsagba urged party members to “sheathe their swords” and work collectively for the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections.

“I want to appeal to all our party members across Ondo North Senatorial District and Ondo State in general to close ranks, embrace reconciliation, and work collectively towards securing greater victories for our great party in future elections,” he said.

The senator stressed that unity was essential for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and APC candidates at both state and national levels.

He commended Tinubu for his leadership during the nomination process, describing it as a reflection of fairness and party cohesion.

Ipinsagba also expressed gratitude to delegates, grassroots mobilisers, youths, women, and supporters across Ondo North for their backing during the primaries and his time in the Senate.

He pledged to remain accessible to his constituents and committed to advancing policies that promote socio-economic development, youth and women empowerment, and improved infrastructure across the district.
