Ezinne Nwanorue, a Nigerian woman based in Canada, has taken to social media to demand that her husband swear an oath that he would remain faithful to her or die before she helps him relocate to join her in the North American country.
Ezinne, who prides herself as being “a prophetic
intercessor, certified marriage counsellor, wife and mum of three boys,”
declared that the only condition for Franklin Nwanorue to secure a Canadian
visa is for him to profess his love for her on social media.
She claimed God told her that her husband must never cheat,
and if he does, he will die.
“Before my husband can be given a visa to Canada, he must
make a video confessing and post on Facebook and his WhatsApp status that if he
comes to Canada and cheats on me, his wife, Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, he will
die, in the name of Jesus,” she wrote.
“And he will remain faithful to me, his wife, and be a good
husband to me, his wife, and be a good father to our children. This is the only
way God can give him a visa to come to Canada, thus said the Lord.”

In a video response, Franklin pledged to remain faithful, acknowledging that his wife has been away from Nigeria for three years without seeing him or their children.
“As directed by God, and I want the best for you and my
children, I want peace in your life, in my marriage. I confess, and I promise
that if I ever come to Canada and cheat on you, let me die in Jesus Christ’s
name,” he said.
“You have tried—three years without your children and me. I
want the best for you and my children. I keep my promise to you, my love. I
want you to be happy and will do anything to make you happy.
“Anything that hurts you in the past, forgive and move on. I
will never divorce you. Nothing will make me leave you.”
Responding to her husband’s post, Ezinne also committed to
marital fidelity.
“I am confessing that I will remain faithful sexually to my
husband and that if I become unfaithful, let me die. I confess that I will
continue to be a good wife to my husband and a good mother to our children,”
she said.
“I pray God helps us build a healthy marriage and a Godly
home.”
