Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering greater development across the state if re-elected in the upcoming governorship election.
Speaking during the Imole Campaign Council’s mobilisation tour in Erin-Osun and Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area, Adeleke declared that his administration had fulfilled the promises made during the 2022 campaign.
“When we came here in 2022, I promised you good governance, and I have fulfilled that promise. But the people have not seen anything yet. We will do much more for Osun State,” he said.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke assured residents that his second term would bring even greater achievements.
At the grand finale rally in Ilobu, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, passed a vote of confidence in Adeleke’s leadership, pledging “overwhelming support and victory” in the August 15 poll.
Traditional rulers also endorsed the governor’s bid. The Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Adekunle, prayed for Adeleke’s success, while the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye, assured him of the backing of Irepodun Local Government.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the Osun governorship election for August 15, with 14 political parties fielding candidates.
