Former Minister of Aviation and ambassador-designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has met with the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, in Abuja.
Fani-Kayode disclosed this via his X handle on Friday.
According to him, the meeting was aimed at discussing his
preparations for the diplomatic assignment as Nigeria’s Ambassador-Designate to
South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini.
He said, “It was my honor and pleasure to pay my friend and
brother His Excellency Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, the Minister of
Information and National Orientation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in his
office yesterday.
“I also took the opportunity to brief him on my preparations
to leave for my new assignment as the Ambassador Designate of Nigeria to the
Republic of South Africa, the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
“Minister Idris is a dependable brother and has been one of
those that has always stood with me through thick and thin over the years.
“His role as Minister of Information and National
Orientation has been outstanding and I assured him of my continued support in
his great efforts to let the world know about the successes of our Government
and the great strides of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of our leader President Bola
Ahmed Tinubu.”
