Vice President Kashim Shettima has revealed that President Bola Tinubu becomes displeased only when his predecessor, the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, is criticized.
Speaking at the Agric, Development, and Investment Summit in Abuja on Wednesday, Shettima emphasized Tinubu’s readiness to take full responsibility for his administration’s actions, noting that the President avoids engaging in blame games.
According to Shettima, Tinubu’s leadership has significantly impacted Nigeria’s economy, growing the nation’s foreign reserves from less than $4 billion to over $50 billion the highest in 17 years.
“The easiest way to anger President Tinubu is to criticise Muhammadu Buhari. The buck stops at his desk, and he is ready to take responsibility for whatever comes out of his actions,” Shettima said.
He acknowledged ongoing challenges such as inflation and insecurity but stressed that the government has not folded its arms, insisting that efforts are being made to address these issues.
Shettima described Tinubu as a game changer with the courage to make far-reaching decisions aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy.
