The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of deliberately working to divide opposition votes in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, the ADC governorship candidate in Jigawa State, made the allegation through his running mate, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, during a stakeholders’ meeting in Dutse at the weekend.
“The PDP is only pretending to be in opposition. It is there to divide votes. It does not have a presidential candidate, and there are different interests within the party, including those aligned with Nyesom Wike and others,” Ringim said.
He urged Nigerians, who have experienced governance under both the APC and PDP, to rally behind the ADC as a credible alternative that can deliver good governance.
Ringim added that the party is actively engaging stakeholders across Jigawa and expects more politicians to defect soon.
He called on ADC members to intensify grassroots mobilisation for victory in the upcoming elections.
