The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has outlined the reasons behind its decision to endorse President Bola Tinubu as its preferred candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Morning Show on Friday, APGA National Chairman Sylvester Ezeokenwa said the move was guided by both party policy and conviction.
According to him, the endorsement continues a tradition that began in 2010–2011, when APGA adopted then-President Goodluck Jonathan’s candidacy.
He stressed that the policy remains intact today.Ezeokenwa added that conviction also played a role, noting that the party believes Tinubu is “steering the country in the right direction” through reforms that align with APGA’s progressive agenda.
On Wednesday, APGA formally endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 polls, describing the decision as being in the best interest of the party and the nation.
