Pretty Mike, the Nigerian socialite, has once again grabbed
attention with his signature flamboyant event entrances.
The nightclub owner recently stunned fans at the 50th
birthday celebration of his friend Helen Ezisi, pulling off a memorable
arrival.
A video shared on his Instagram page shows him walking into
the venue accompanied by a group of men and women dressed in formal legal
attire, resembling lawyers.
The group was arranged in two separate lines, creating a
pathway. As they parted, Mike made a theatrical walk through the centre, adding
a dramatic flair to the moment.
In his Instagram caption, the socialite explained that the
entrance was a gesture of admiration for the legal profession.
He described lawyers as the foundation of order, justice,
and structure in society, praising their discipline, intellect, and integrity.
He also acknowledged the challenges of the legal path while
celebrating those who uphold what is right.
“To the legal profession, the backbone of order, justice,
and structure in society. I have deep respect for lawyers who show up every day
with discipline, intellect, and integrity to uphold the law and protect what is
right,” he wrote.
“It is not an easy path, but it is a necessary one. Here’s
to the men and women who carry the weight of justice and still stand tall doing
it. An inspiring scene. Happy 50th Birthday Helen Ezisi.”
The video has sparked a chorus of criticism against Pretty
Mike on social media.

While some members of the Bar might find it distasteful or trivialising of the profession's symbols, Pretty Mike's stunt - 50 boys and girls in wig and gown at a birthday party -would be difficult to successfully prosecute under existing Nigerian law.… https://t.co/wRRweyweDf pic.twitter.com/2Y7NEFHg3b
Pretty Mike, this one go far. The Nigerian Bar Association will not like this.😳 https://t.co/5vMJAodU1w

This isn’t the first time Pretty Mike has sparked
conversation with his unique style of showing up to events.
In 2022, he attended the birthday party of Adebola Dosunmu
with a group dressed in occultic attire while carrying a supposedly lifeless
and almost naked man.
In December 2021, he was at the birthday party of Eniola
Badmus, the Nollywood actress, with an entourage of semi-nude people.
He also graced an event hosted by Ubi Franklin’s baby mama
with a native doctor in August of that same year.
