Kwara PDP Suspends Guber Aspirant Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State has suspended governorship aspirant Alhaji Ladi Hassan for one month over alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

The Magaji Ngeri Ward Executive Committee in Ilorin West LGA issued the suspension letter on Monday. The committee said Hassan was invited on May 30 to face a 7-man disciplinary panel within 48 hours but failed to appear.

According to the ward, his failure to honour the invitation amounted to “an admission of guilt of anti-party activities, acts of indiscipline, and gross misconduct, all of which contravene the principles and code of conduct of the Party.”

The committee said the action was taken under Sections 57 and 59(1) of the PDP Constitution. Hassan is barred from all party meetings, programmes, and activities at ward, local government, state, and national levels during the suspension period.

“Your failure to comply constitutes an admission of guilt... The Ward Executive Committee hereby suspends you from all Party activities and functions for a period of 1 month,” the letter stated.
