The management of Air Peace says an IT infrastructure failure caused by a power surge disrupted its flight operations on Monday, resulting in delays across its route network.
In a statement on Monday, the airline said the power surge
affected a critical server supporting its crew scheduling and flight planning
processes.
The carrier said the incident led to delays on some flights
as its technical team worked with service providers to restore the affected
infrastructure.
“The disruption was caused by a power surge which impacted a
critical IT infrastructure server supporting our crew scheduling and flight
planning processes,” the statement reads.
“As a result, some flights have experienced delays while our
technical teams work with our service providers to fully restore the affected
infrastructure.”
Air Peace apologised to passengers for the disruption,
saying it understood the impact the delays may have on their travel plans.
The airline said safety remains its priority and assured
customers that efforts were underway to restore normal operations as quickly as
possible.
“We expect the maintenance and restoration work to be
completed today, after which flight operations will progressively return to
normal,” Air Peace said.
The airline also advised passengers to monitor its official
communication channels for updates on their flight schedules.
