Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Jamiu Ogundele (popularly known as JAMSALOD), has inaugurated a strong grassroots mobilisation structure to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Ogundele inaugurated 396 polling unit mobilisers across Imeko-Afon Local Government Area, comprising three members from each of the 132 polling units in the area’s 10 political wards.
The team is tasked with coordinating intensive grassroots engagement to build support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi)’s governorship aspiration, and other APC candidates.
Speaking at the inauguration, which drew party leaders, community stakeholders, youth and women groups, Ogundele described the move as the beginning of a broad-based movement to reach every ward, community, and polling unit in the local government.
“This initiative is designed to build a formidable grassroots network… while mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, Senator Solomon Adeola’s governorship aspiration and the overall success of the APC in the 2027 elections,” he said.
He highlighted Senator Adeola’s impressive record in infrastructure development, constituency projects, and human capital development, saying these achievements have endeared him to residents across Ogun State.
“Senator Yayi has demonstrated exceptional commitment to public service through impactful projects and human capital development. We are convinced that his experience and vision will take Ogun State to greater heights,” Ogundele added.
The newly inaugurated mobilisers will embark on door-to-door campaigns, community engagements, youth empowerment programmes, and stakeholder consultations.
Campaign materials bearing Senator Adeola’s image were distributed to members of the team.
Stakeholders at the event, including former House of Representatives member Dr Dele Ogunsiji and Imeko-Afon APC Chairman Abdulrahman Adebolu, hailed the initiative as a strategic step toward strengthening the party’s base and consolidating support for the APC ahead of 2027.
