Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has been cleared by the All Progressives Congress to contest in the party’s forthcoming governorship primary election ahead of his re-election bid.
The governor disclosed this after completing the party’s screening exercise in Abuja, where he highlighted achievements recorded under the ARISE Agenda over the past three years.
According to him, his decision to seek a second term is aimed at consolidating the progress made by his administration and ensuring the completion of ongoing projects across Akwa Ibom State.
Eno thanked the leadership of the APC, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, members of the National Assembly, and the people of Akwa Ibom State for their continued support and confidence in his administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace, unity, and development in the state.
